CURRICULUM ELEMENTS
1. THEOLOGY GROUP TIME
Daily puppets skits guide children through one theological concept each week. Topics cover the Bible, God the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, people and the Church. These skits use a question-and-answer format along with repetition to teach kids about the biggest truths in the world in a fun, engaging and effective way.
2. CHAPEL
Weekly chapels provide an object lesson to support the theology component. Chapels expand on the conversations happening between puppets and teachers during theology group times. Object lessons are visual representations of complex topics that give kids something concrete to grasp.
3. story cards
Daily story cards are used to teach individual Bible stories. They feature beautiful, hand-drawn, watercolor illustrations on one side to engage kids’ imaginations and hold their attention. On the back, they carry developmentally appropriate summaries of each story. These are written to offer the full truth of each story in language preschoolers can absorb.
4. Teacher’s notes
Weekly notes are written to encourage teachers personally with brief readings and reflections to help them meditate on the significance of the truths they will teach in the coming week.
5. suggested activities
Weekly supplemental activities appeal to many different learning styles so that kids of all kinds have a way to connect with the material. These include songs, movement, games, object lessons and coloring sheets.
6. Drawings of the Day
Bi-weekly Drawings of the Day are a reflection tool used at the end of Bible story teaching. These provide a space for kids to color and draw in response to a prompt and for teachers to dialogue with each kid and record their thoughts about the Bible story.
